Not wanting to go down without some defiance on his part, Shiv turned his head to the Trooper on his left, saying, "You coppers think you can break me," before adding, "I've been in the darkest prisons in the universe! Places that would make every last one of your bolts rattle!" As the drone uncuffed him and the diligent Trooper he was facing typed in a keycode to unlock the cell they were all facing, Shiv went on exclaiming, "The Eternity Pits of Zordoom, the Iron Hold on Novalis, the-," but grunted at the bright light from the cell that got him in his eyes.
"Oh, yeah, you're all real heroes, huh," he remarked in a sarcastic fashion before the drone confirmed his identity with a scan and the two Troopers escorted him to what would be his "home" in the Penitentiary.
"Move it out, or lose it, Helix," the new guard demanded, which prompted a scoff from the shorter convict, even as he complied. However, what the Trooper behind him lacked in a physically intimidating appearance, he made up for by wielding a small, yellow and black pistol known as a Combuster that could fire plasma blasts, which kept Shiv from getting any bold ideas, especially since his hands were energy cuffed on his back.įinally arriving at the cellblock Shiv was assigned to through the sliding doors, he and his handler were quickly confronted by another Trooper standing guard there alongside a floating scanning drone. Warbots that were dark and light blue in color with a single yellow eye and blue antenna on their heads, Shiv speculated that the current model of Solana Troopers were derived from a similar design invented in Polaris back when the Lombax race was slowly yet surely rising to prominence in that part of the universe. Now an inmate once again, he had to wear an orange prison garb and a metallic ring around his neck that displayed his number, 1-1-7.Īs he walked through one corner of the Penitentiary to another, Shiv had to be managed by a Solana Trooper towering right behind him. A short, purple-skinned sophont with black markings over his body and exposed lower jaws, Shiv had seen his fair share of violence as the scar over his left eye as well as the entirely robotic implant that served as his left arm indicated. 'Not like these will be able to break me, though," he mentally encouraged himself as he was being moved to what would be his cell. Unfortunately, two preorders of his led to him being discovered, and Shiv made his first moment on Kerwan coincide with the first day of his remanded sentence to the capital's heavily guarded jail. If Shiv had his way, he would have gone into hiding in one of Kerwan's darker areas to dabble in smuggling, extortion, and selling his services as a blaster for hire when needed without getting caught right away, and even if he did get caught, he honestly would not have found it shameful being arrested by the legendary heroes based in Aleero City that Solana referred to as the Galactic Rangers. There were Novalians, Tharpods, Fongoids, and, of course, the very diversified native species of Kerwan, whose unique characteristics varied from one individual to another.
That right belongs to Insomniac Games.Īleero City Penitentiary, Planet Kerwan, Solana Galaxyįrom what Shiv Helix heard about Kerwan since running away from his native Polaris Galaxy to earn a hopefully safer, yet criminal, lifestyle far away from the harsh government types that he had already been exposed to, the planet was the hub for all major activity in the entire Solana Galaxy and it was not uncommon for even sophonts also from Polaris among other galaxies to reside in the fast-paced capital known as Aleero City alongside the races of Solana itself.
